Staff and student welfare

Dean Close is a safe, secure environment for children and the welfare of our students is always regarded with upmost importance.

All the Dean Close staff are dedicated individuals who have experience, passion and an understanding of working with international students. For every 7 students at Dean Close there is 1 member of staff, allowing us to focus our full attention on the individual needs of each child.

Management

The Dean Close Management team is made up of the Centre Manager & the Assistant Centre Manager who are responsible for the day to day running of the school, the Director of Studies who is responsible for the English Programme, and the Activity Manager who is responsible for the Activity Programme and the Excursion Programme.

House Parents

The House Parents are members of the Dean Close team who attend to any specific student issues regarding welfare. Our House Parents look after our students in the houses and supervise them during break times and meal times, supported by the rest of the staff at the school.

Teachers

The teaching staff teach the English Programme during the 3 hours lessons each morning. The Dean Close teachers also assist with the Activity Programme, Excursion Programme and general welfare duties.

Activity Leaders

The activity leaders are responsible for implementing the Activity Programme and Excursion Programme. The activity leaders ensure that the students are fully engaged in their activities, that they are having fun and practicing their English.

My son was at this school 3 summers on end. The interesting excersions, the planned programme, it was pleasing to us. Especially the programme of adventures sport was pleasant. Many thanks.
